Kay Dickerson has worked in the field of second language instruction since 1986 when she began developing one of the first English as a Second Language programs in the state of Missouri. During her years in the field of education, she has worked as a teacher in the public school systems of Kansas and Missouri, served as a member of the ESL Advisory Services of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Missouri, and has been an adjunct professor for Central Missouri State University, Southeast Missouri State University, Ottawa University and Baker University.

She has three grown sons, one living in Phoenix, AZ; one in Kansas City, MO; and one living in Charlotte, NC. Visiting her granddaughter is one thing she looks forward to throughout the year.
